The Universe of Heroes Alliance updates a chapter on the biography of Kieran, the guardian of time, as follows:
Acacia, the most barren and evil land, was not like this. There was a rich and varied civilization, ruled by Akzam, the last king of ancient mages. As the territory of the Shurima Empire continued to expand on this continent, they turned a deaf ear to Akzam’s call for peaceful coexistence, and the army of Akasia was defeated by the celestial warriors of the Astronaut Army.
Although the defeat convinced the Ekasians, many saw opportunities for common development. They accepted the proposal, transformed Ekasia into an autonomous jurisdiction under Shurima, and established a governing Council under which prominent magicians, philosophers and legislators jointly supervised the change of power.
After nearly 900 years of imperial rule, a young man named Kieran joined Parliament. He was a wizard of elements, who had a profound understanding of physical facts beyond ordinary people. He also studied under the greatest ideological guidance at that time – from Ishtar’s great Yoon to Farah’s Royal Star Master, and countless masters.
In the physical realm, there is one element that few people really understand, and Kieran decided to take control of it.
Time is an inescapable constant. Even the magnificent warriors of the gods can not avoid the loss of time… Even if they are supreme in Shurema’s culture.
After becoming a member of the ruling class, Kieran became more aware of the repressed anger and discontent of the citizens of Ekasia. Although the land gave birth to many heroic leaders and revolutionary thinkers for the empire, none of them was recognized as having soaring qualifications. Parliament has written petitions again and again to the emperor far away in the capital, but the expectation of the Sun Disc has been repeatedly rejected for no reason. Ekasia has paid so much, but it never seems to get the same treatment.
Kieran’s own resistance is growing, but what worries him even more is that many of his colleagues are openly discussing the voice of re-independence. He is a patriot from the beginning to the end, but in the face of the army of the ascendants, any rebellion will only lead to the suffering of the people. To find a diplomatic outlet, he traveled as an envoy to nearby Karik, Karduga and Ishtar. He had made many allies in his life, and he begged them to stand with Acacia.
But the answer is the same every time. They will not openly confront Shrema. If the people of Kieran go their own way, they will have to fight alone.
Kieran, who returned home, was surprised to find that Parliament had decided to crown the new Mage King. They were delighted to tell Kieran what ancient taboos they had discovered — a powerful force enough to ensure the victory of Ekasia.
They spoke to Kieran of the power of emptiness.
He looked at the rational and erudite Ekasians, but in their eyes he could only see madness. Kieran was so sad that he preferred the repression of his motherland’s revolution to the release of this evil incarnation into the world.
Kieran’s greatest fear came true. As soon as the void was released on the battlefield, it immediately swallowed up the mages who tried to control it, and then Ekasia destroyed it.
He wanted to escape from the capital, but for a time there was a tremor and the walls collapsed. Such a horror should never have appeared in this or that world. It burst out from the depths of the earth and drove the frightened people ahead.
They are trapped. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people will die. In despair, Kieran allowed as many people as possible to take refuge in his tower, and then he did what was impossible.
He removed the whole building from time.
Kieran sat on the cold floor, looking at the motionless figure around him. The void was stopped, but only within the wall – outside, the land where Icacia once stood was empty.
Kieran spent decades trying to understand the mystery of time and causality. It seemed that only he could move freely around the anomaly area, and he did not know how to create it. These people were indeed saved. But he just couldn’t figure out how to reverse it and make them really alive. Through deep meditation and self-created sophisticated tools, he began to divine the threads connecting the past and the present, and gradually learned how to follow these threads forward or backward, constantly looking for a future he had succeeded in…
That’s how he found the real threat: the end of everything. Waiting for the end of the rune land extinction.
In effect, Kieran now exists everywhere, and it’s always there. Even so, he was too aware of the consequences of changing the world and creating other unexpected destinies – often contradictory and always more dangerous. Perhaps if he could find a way to save his own people, the catastrophe would be solved.
The only question is, what sacrifices are he willing to make in the process?
