After last week’s playoff season, all the previous predictions turned out to be overwhelming, but we might say that’s a better result. The rising stars overthrew the old dynasty. The premature exit of both EDG and RNG may be a sign that the new forces want to justify themselves, telling us that the results of the regular season do not tell everything.
Let’s take a look at the playoffs of the past week and look ahead to the next game.
If this week’s playoff season is just a cold one, I’m afraid it’s not enough to describe it. First, in the last game of the spring regular season, the WE team won 2-0 easily and got a better playoff ranking. Interestingly, after the first playoff game, the Beijing-East team said that they were not very serious in the regular season, but used that game to detect WE’s early ADC efforts and try to take advantage of the strategy on the map.
They regard this tactic as WE’s weakness. The Beijing-East Team dominated the early stage of the game, prevented the opponents from wandering, completely limited the key to WE’s victory, and completely liberated the middle road to help them defeat their first opponent by 3-1.
However, they were not satisfied with the victory, and Jingdong continued to make great progress against RNG on Saturday. They learned from the previous BO5 that the line-up that surrounds the downward road and opens up the situation in the group battle, they let Uzi and Ming do nothing in the online stage, and, with the magical insistence of the base, they defeated the RNG team by 3-2 explosive cold.
京东 vs FPX
Jingdong vs FPX
Next, in the next round of the playoffs, Jingdong will face the FPX team, which has just won the first place in the regular season. Although in theory, the Beijing-East battle team still carries the residual power, their momentum has declined somewhat and may not be the best state. I understand that I understand that pressures on the undesirable side are more reliable than on the top ranking team at present, but let me explain why.
Beijing East Team has achieved considerable success by disrupting their opponents’footwork in the next way, but it should be noted that FPX is not a team with the core of the next way; more of them need to see where Zhongye Tian and Doinb hope to open the gap. Even if Lwx and Crisp are in trouble, they will just stop Doinb and Tian from going on the road to help Gim Goon’s Kennan or vampire develop and stand out in the ensuing group battle. Therefore, considering the dependence of Jingdong on the way out, it is hard to imagine that they can win the game.
The rise of a new army
The SDG team that just arrived at LPL defeated EDG, which failed to continue its long-standing tradition in the playoffs and also continued its dream. Not only that, but also an overwhelming victory. This game is a direct confrontation between Xiaopeng and Clearlove, and also represents the fight between the fresh blood of LPL and veteran veterans. EDG still has some remarkable performances, but it can’t resist the crazy attack from SDG. Xiaopeng has opened the gap on the line time and again.
Nevertheless, one day after the dream, two days later, the SDG team was completely suppressed by TOP, which swept them quite easily and ended their first postseason trip. Xx’s investment in the middle and lower levels makes SDG totally unavailable. The team with such dominance did not hesitate to make decisions, and their next opponent IG, if it had no fear at all, would not have come from their inner thoughts.
iG vs TOP
IG vs TOP
At the beginning of the season, it’s hard to imagine that the new faces in the TOP team can make such waves in the playoffs, even in front of the defending World View iG team, they have a chance to win. However, this is one of Knight’s goals when considering his playoff performance. The TOP team, who finished third in the regular season, is a quiet but deadly team in the LPL. They even beat their opponents against FPX, making everyone unexpectedly short-lived top of the LPL.
But the iG team is not easy. Although their performance is not exactly the same as last year’s, it can be said that the team looks better. Put priority on the road, Zhongdan and ADC will not die when they are targeted, TheShy takes on the task of carry team well. Single killing, counter-killing, over-the-tower killing plus Ning’s guerrilla killing, we can always see the single superstar in a wonderful collection.
Such a monolithic version is good for iG, but on the other hand, the TOP team, which mainly focuses on the middle road, will face challenges. Knight, known as the “low-profile iG,” has to go a step further to see if Knight really has the talent that everyone expects. In order to rank his name among the top players, he has to tear apart the gap of iG and have the carry ability like TheShy, so he can really “stand up” in this competition.
